What are your tasks?

In my position as DevOps Engineer, I take care of the setup, maintenance and further development of the Kubernetes clusters on which our Smart City solution is hosted for our customers. There is always something to do here, as we are constantly developing the security, stability and feature set for our customers. I also take on other side projects for other teams and customers.

What do you like about your work?

As a “techie”, I have the opportunity at ENGINEERING to always experiment with new technologies in order to open them up for our customers. In particular, the short official channels and the trust placed in me by my superiors allow me to bring new solutions to market with the team without delay.
Thanks to the diversity of our customers, the work is also never boring; my tasks are often in completely different subject areas!

What brought you to ENGINEERING?

Here, I went the “classic” way – a message on LinkedIn, a few really good getting-to-know-you conversations with my current superiors, and now I’ve been with ENGINEERING since January 2022.

What do you like about ENGINEERING?

We are a diverse team with a high level of cohesion. We also have a lively discussion culture and value open feedback very much.

Is there anything else you would like to say about ENGINEERING or your work at ENGINEERING?

It is generally known that IT is a very employee-friendly field – but ENGINEERING raises the bar a good deal higher here. Special circumstances or needs are always dealt with pre-emptively, the tone is always friendly, and I generally enjoy coming to work in the morning!
