Interview series: Women at ENGINEERING
The proportion of women working in the IT sector is still only 17%. Yet the IT industry offers a future-oriented, secure job market with exciting, innovative topics. With the goal of “becoming the most attractive employer for women in IT, achieving a high proportion of women across all levels of the company and acting as a role model in the labour market,” we want to promote team diversity and encourage more women to take on a role in an IT company. Therefore, we started an interview series asking our female colleagues why they like working in IT and how they came to IT.
We pursue an equal and non-discriminatory approach to each other. This applies not only to our employees, but also to our customers and partner companies. We want to give everyone the same opportunities and the same respect. For us, this also means that we do not exclude anyone with our language. Therefore, we are committed to more diversity through the use of gender-sensitive language.
women&work fair 2021
This year ENGINEERING was represented for the first time at the “women&work”, the most important career fair for women in Europe. At our virtual trade fair stand, visitors had the opportunity to gain an insight into the company. They were able to find out about our family-friendly working time models, get an insight into our exciting portfolio topics and see what it’s like to work as a woman in an IT company. Colleagues from the areas of consulting, project management, HR or marketing reported live from their daily work and were available to answer questions.
